Howard Storm, by his own admission a man pursuing vanity and self-satisfaction with little regard for others, experienced one of the most detailed and transformative NDEs on record. He appears to have been selected for an early unscheduled death so that he might experience Hell, Heaven, and Jesus, and tell others about his experience. His was his second NDE warning, suggesting divine intervention for his spiritual awakening.
His experience began with a descent into Hell where he was attacked by its occupants. In this terrifying realm, he witnessed the ultimate consequences of selfishness and separation from God. An interior voice instructed him to pray to God, and though Howard could only stumble through the religious words he remembered, this was sufficient to remove him from Hell and bring him into the presence of Jesus and his angels. The transformation from Hell to the divine presence demonstrated the immediate power of sincere prayer and calling upon God's name, even from the depths of spiritual darkness. Howard received what he described as "the grand tour" including a question and answer period with Jesus and the angels. He was shown prophetic visions of Earth's future, including calamitous weather, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, increasing arrogance among people, and explosions of incredible magnitude. However, these destructions would be followed by a period of peace and brotherhood. His angelic guides revealed that this period of peace would come approximately 200 years from 1985, when all persons would attain perfection comparable to the saints. Following his return, Howard underwent a complete life transformation. The former atheist professor became Reverend Howard Storm, dedicating his life to sharing his experience and its spiritual implications. His detailed account provides one of the most comprehensive modern testimonies of the reality of Hell, the saving power of prayer, and the ultimate triumph of God's love over evil.
