A man whose wife and eight children were tragically burned alive when their van was struck by a gasoline tanker experienced a devastating NDE two years later. Following the accident that killed his entire family, he began drinking heavily, consuming half a gallon of whiskey daily, and adding heroin and other drugs. After multiple suicide attempts, while drunk and stoned on a dirt road, he was run over by a large truck. He observed the entire accident scene from a few feet above his body, watching the ambulance arrive and his transport to the emergency room. During his out-of-body experience, his deceased family appeared before him in a glow of light, communicating through thought transference. He witnessed medical personnel working on his body from above and eventually re-entered his physical form. The experience provided him with evidence that his family continued to exist in another realm, offering some solace despite his overwhelming grief.
