Nine-year-old Annabel Beam from Texas suffered from two incurable gastrointestinal conditions: antral hypomotility disorder and pseudo-obstruction motility disorder. These forms of gastroparesis caused severe chronic pain and extreme bloating after eating. Her illness was so unbearable she once told her mother she would rather die and go to heaven.
In December 2011, while playing with sisters, she fell head-first 30 feet into a hollow cottonwood tree trunk, hitting her head three times inside. Firemen rescued her and brought her to Cook Children's Hospital. Remarkably, she had no serious injuries - only possible concussion and superficial bumps and bruises, surprising the ER doctor. Days later, Annabel described visiting heaven, sitting on Jesus's lap, and seeing her dead grandmother "Mee Mee." She recounted: "I started to wake up in the tree and could hear firemen's voices. I saw an angel that looked very small, like a fairy. God winked at me through the angel's body saying 'I'm going to leave you now and everything is going to be okay.' The angel stayed with me the entire time, shining light so I could see." After the accident, Annabel was suddenly cured of her digestive disorders with no physical complaints and no medications needed. Dr. Samuel Nurko from Boston Children's Hospital confirmed she is "completely asymptomatic, leading a normal life, not requiring any therapies." Though doctors had no explanation, Nurko didn't call it a miracle but confirmed complete cure.
