Anita Moorjani, diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2002, fell into a coma on February 2, 2006, after 4 years of home care. Her organs were shutting down and the oncologist told her husband she would die within 36 hours. The cancer had spread everywhere with open lesions on her skin. During her coma, she had a radical NDE where she could hear and see extrasensorily what doctors were discussing 40 feet away in the corridor, verified by her husband Danny. She was also aware her brother was en route by airplane.
During the NDE, she was told she could choose to stay in physical life and be healed of cancer. If she chose life, her organs would function normally again. She chose life and regained consciousness. Her organs recovered, amazing the doctors. By mid-February, outward signs of cancer had disappeared. Biopsies and ultrasounds revealed no evidence of cancer. Despite only completing partial chemotherapy cycles, all scans showed she was cancer-free. U.S. oncologist Peter Ko flew to Hong Kong to study her case, copying all medical files. He concluded she should have died and sent findings to cancer institutes worldwide - all responded they had never encountered such a case. Ko stated he was unable to attribute her recovery to chemotherapy, speculating something non-physical either switched off mutated genes or signaled programmed cell death. The case is medically documented with before/after verification. Ko confirmed the tumor disappeared, skin ulcers healed without grafting, and recovery was remarkable. This represents one of the most well-documented cases of miraculous healing following an NDE.
