Kristle was a 7-year-old girl who drowned in a swimming pool after being underwater for approximately 17 minutes. She had no heartbeat for 45 minutes during resuscitation attempts. Despite the severity of her condition with fixed dilated pupils, no gag reflex, and massive brain swelling on CAT scan, she made a miraculous recovery after three days in a coma. During her cardiac arrest, Kristle had an out-of-body experience where she observed the medical procedures being performed on her. She accurately described Dr. Morse placing a tube down her nose (nasal intubation), which is less common than oral intubation typically shown on television. She saw herself being taken to a room that looked like a doughnut (CAT scan room) and recalled Dr. Morse calling someone on the phone asking what to do next. She also correctly identified the medical staff present, including distinguishing between Dr. Morse who had a beard and Dr. Longhurst who was clean-shaven. Remarkably, she described the emergency room equipment and procedures with astonishing accuracy despite having her eyes closed and being profoundly comatose throughout. Additionally, during her NDE, Kristle was given a glimpse of her home where she accurately observed her family members' activities, clothing, and even what her mother was cooking. Upon recovery, Kristle's first words were asking about her friends she had met in Heaven, demonstrating the profound spiritual aspect of her experience. Her veridical perceptions were confirmed by both the medical team and her family, making this a well-documented case of accurate observations during clinical death.
