Helen was involved in a very serious car accident where both ankles were broken, requiring a long, difficult procedure to free her from the vehicle. She was unconscious during extraction and regained consciousness only hours after the accident. Despite this, she had vivid memories of getting out of her car in panic after the collision to assess damage and check if everyone was safe. Helen accurately knew four vehicles were involved, including a gray floral delivery van with blue writing on red roses decals. She described walking to a dark green four-door sedan smashed against her hood at a sharp angle after running a stop sign, seeing the dark-haired bearded driver slumping over the wheel, moaning. She correctly detailed that this initial impact created a pile-up when the delivery van behind her and white suburban behind it couldn't stop, slamming into her car and wedging it like an accordion between vehicles, leaving her pinned. She knew the delivery van driver was relatively unharmed but unable to open his jammed door. She observed the white suburban driver making the 911 call, then rushing between vehicles, reaching into the green sedan to turn off the smoking engine and comfort the injured driver. Helen saw the passenger crying and tried offering comfort through the shattered window but received no response. Hearing sirens, she walked back to her car and realized she was looking at her own unconscious body trapped in the driver's seat. The police report confirmed Helen was entangled in debris for thirty minutes, with both ankles clearly broken, observed unconscious at the scene - making physical observation of these accurate details impossible.
