Ruth experienced three NDEs across 35 years. In 1965, while in a coma from terminal cervical cancer weighing only 65 pounds, she was out of body hearing medical staff say "we have lost her now." She traveled through a tunnel where deceased relatives smiled as she passed, experienced a complete life review where she became each person she had hurt or helped, and reached an awesome white Light of unconditional love that answered all her questions. She was sent back against her will. In 1993, during a heart attack, she had a similar experience but chose to return for her husband. In 2000, severely ill with E. coli, she had her most profound NDE lasting over 20 minutes. She visited seven planes of existence including a disturbing realm where souls were trapped in self-created torment, unable to see the path to Light above them. She met entities called "The Council" who identified as "soul recyclers" helping souls reincarnate. She could see her silver cord connecting to her body and perceived the universe as a perfectly ordered system like a massive computer mainframe, the opposite of chaos. Each experience deepened her understanding of reincarnation and led her to Buddhist beliefs.

--- Biblical Summary ---
Biblical elements: The experiences contain biblical elements including out-of-body experiences, meeting deceased relatives, encountering divine Light and love, comprehensive life review with moral accountability, and visions of hellish realms of torment. The concept of souls in torment who could escape by looking up parallels the biblical teaching that salvation is available to all who seek.

Unbiblical elements: Strong endorsement of reincarnation and "soul recyclers," adoption of Buddhist worldview, portrayal of the universe as an impersonal computer system rather than God's creation, and the Council beings facilitating reincarnation all directly contradict biblical teaching about resurrection, judgment, and eternal destiny. The mechanical view of salvation contradicts grace.
