Shalom experienced two near-death experiences. The first occurred after a car accident where he was driving westbound on Route 80 in New Jersey when everything went black. After the impact, a state police officer and his friend Lou dragged his body from the car where he was pronounced dead. During this time, Shalom looked down at his transparent hands, felt overwhelming peace and love, and moved through a tunnel toward a bright light. A voice told him it wasn't his time and he must return to complete his missions. He awakened on a cold gurney with his parents present. The second NDE occurred during surgery to remove polyps and growths when doctors accidentally overdosed him, causing his heart to stop. This time he met guardian angels and his deceased grandfather. After experiencing a comprehensive life review where he felt both the joy and pain he had caused others, he encountered Jesus who called himself "Big Brother" and named Shalom "My Little Prince of Peace." Jesus gave him a mission to help healers heal and connect people of all faiths without greed or ego. He was instructed to work through love, joy, peace, and harmony before being sent back to his body.

--- Biblical Summary ---
Biblical elements: This experience strongly aligns with biblical accounts including meeting Jesus Christ directly, experiencing judgment through a life review (consistent with 2 Corinthians 5:10), encountering angels (Hebrews 1:14), seeing deceased relatives in paradise (Luke 23:43), traveling through a spiritual realm, and receiving a divine commission to serve others. The emphasis on love, peace, healing, and helping others reflects Christ's teachings. The name "Prince of Peace" connects to Isaiah 9:6.

Unbiblical elements: The account includes some non-orthodox elements such as Jesus preferring to be called "Big Brother" rather than Lord, reference to "Mich'l of Nebadon" which appears to be from Urantia Book terminology, and emphasis on connecting "ALL religions" which could imply religious pluralism. However, the core experience remains Christ-centered.
