John, while on Navy duty in 1957, choked on a hard-boiled egg and received 120-volt electrical shock from a water fountain, paralyzing his diaphragm. He collapsed and Joe began CPR. John found himself near the ceiling watching sailors trying to save his body, feeling fine with no concern for it. He traveled through walls and equipment, entered a dark mist, then a tunnel moving at tremendous speed with buzzing sounds. At tunnel's end, he met twelve people in white robes who communicated telepathically. A guide in Levis and white t-shirt took him through beautiful flower gardens, showing him a golden city. He underwent a complete life review lasting one second, seeing everything from his entire life including unknown deaths from a car accident. He met two deceased high school friends who died from gas poisoning four years earlier. He asked to see Jesus and was taken to a stage where Jesus appeared, first as mist then visible form. Jesus said he hadn't completed his purposes on earth, promised his Navy transfer to Tennessee would happen, told him many future things, and instructed him to tell everyone of this visit. Two guardian angels escorted him back through space. He woke on an examination table and told three doctors he had returned from Heaven.
