During an emergency caesarean section, a 26-year-old woman heard her doctor declare "I've lost her; she's gone!" marking the beginning of an extraordinary near-death experience. Immediately after hearing these words, she found herself being carried by four angels through a great, huge auditorium. The two large doors of the auditorium opened, and she was carried out and up through space itself.
As she traveled through this cosmic journey, she saw a beautiful white city surrounded by a wall, with a set of gates facing directly toward her. The city emanated a sense of perfection and divine beauty. Above the city, a beautiful bright light shone with an intensity and quality unlike any earthly illumination. She felt overwhelming excitement at the sight of this celestial city, desperately wanting to pass through those gates and enter. Despite her intense desire and the magnetic pull of the city, she found herself unable to go through the gates. Instead, she was suddenly returned to the operating table where her doctor expressed relief, saying "I'm so glad you are back; your husband will be so glad you are back." Her response revealed the profound impact of what she had experienced - she was crying as if her heart would break, telling him she did not want to come back. She begged the doctor to let her go again, desperately wanting to return to that beautiful realm she had glimpsed. The experience represented both the saddest and most beautiful time of her life - sad because she had to return to earthly existence, yet beautiful beyond description because of what she had witnessed. The vision of the white city with its gates and the brilliant light above it left her forever changed.
