Theresa, despite never graduating from high school, had an extensive near-death experience following a heart attack that granted her profound philosophical and spiritual insights. During her NDE, she received instruction from beings of light and gained deep understanding about the nature of reality, particularly regarding the paradox of opposites and the divine purpose of all experiences, including suffering.
When asked about negative experiences, Theresa revealed remarkable insights about duality. She explained that negative and positive are human concepts, but everything serves divine purpose - working either for or against God while both creating necessary energy. She witnessed an angered spirit who was isolated within himself, whose emanating energy created his own world, almost a separate planet. This being was accompanied by hideous laughter and existed in complete self-imposed isolation. Theresa's understanding extended to the nature of fear, suffering, and growth. She explained fear as a blessing and key to unfolding inner potential, propelling beings into new experiences necessary for growth. She understood that tears and grief carve openings for joy and love - without cavities carved by pain, beings cannot fully appreciate positive experiences. She learned that trauma and illness sometimes occur to help those around the suffering person, and that lives are lived not just for oneself but for divine purposes affecting all connected beings. The experience transformed Theresa's entire worldview. She emerged with sophisticated understanding that suffering, including her own, serves to create the fastest possible spiritual advancement when handled properly. She recognized the interconnectedness of all living beings and understood that every living thing affects everything else in God's plan. Her insights about the divine purpose of opposition and suffering reflect deep theological understanding despite her limited formal education.
