Thomas Welch fell from a trestle high over a dam in what was clearly a life-threatening accident. Following his fall, he found himself near the shore of an awe-inspiring lake of blue fire. This hellish scene was populated by deceased persons he had known in life, who appeared bewildered and incredulous at their situation. The blue flames created an otherworldly and terrifying atmosphere unlike anything in earthly experience. In his moment of greatest fear and desperation, Welch was rescued by the figure of Jesus, who turned and looked directly at him. This divine intervention immediately ended the hellish experience. After this encounter with Jesus, Welch found himself back in his physical body. The experience was brief but intensely impactful, featuring both terrifying hellfire imagery and divine rescue.
