Munnichinnappa, a 12-year-old boy, fell from a tree around 10:30 AM and was declared dead by his family. All relatives were informed of his death. The experience lasted approximately 4.5 hours until he revived at 3:00 PM.
During his apparent death, two large black men with prominent mustaches appeared and forcibly took him when he resisted. They traveled through a dark forest with large trees. After walking some distance, they crossed a big river and reached a place where the light was extraordinarily bright - brighter than sunlight. The people there appeared very strange to him. Upon entering this bright realm, Munnichinnappa saw Yamaraja seated on a chair surrounded by many other beings. He was taken to a person sitting in a corner with a large book. This person examined him and declared: "I did not ask for this person. Send him back; I had asked for a different person." The mistaken identity was clear - he had been brought in error. Not knowing how to return, the same two messengers who had brought him escorted him back and left him outside his village. He then regained consciousness and found himself back in his body.
