A 7-year-old girl nearly drowned and was deeply comatose requiring resuscitation. Despite her comatose state, she later recalled extraordinary veridical details of her emergency care. She accurately described her unusual nasal intubation instead of the standard oral intubation, surprising medical staff with this specific detail. She also perceived events at her home during her hospitalization, accurately describing her parents' exact locations, clothing choices, and specific activities. Her observations included details about the medical procedures and equipment used during her resuscitation that were later verified by medical staff. The experience included an out-of-body perspective where she could see herself and the medical team working on her body. She described floating above the scene and being able to observe multiple locations simultaneously. Upon recovery, she immediately shared these observations which were confirmed by both medical staff and her parents.
