A 17-year-old young man fell from a high wall at the harbor in Beirut and suffered severe injuries, losing consciousness. Dr. Fonzo and a hospital nurse, who was the uncle of the injured young man, were immediately informed and rushed to provide medical care at the accident scene. During treatment, the young man briefly regained consciousness for a few minutes before dying. In those final moments, he made remarkable claims about what he had observed while unconscious. He stated he had been able to see clearly while his helpers hastened toward him and specifically noted that his uncle had been in danger of falling at one point - an observation that proved accurate. He explained that his uncle was saved from falling only through the intervention of the uncle's deceased mother, whom he claimed to see. As he related these visions, he stated he could see this woman again, who was now calling for him, after which he expired. This case represents both an NDE and a deathbed vision.
