Mustafa was a Muslim pilgrim traveling to Mecca when he fell into the ocean near the Libyan coast and drowned. After being pulled from the water, he was successfully resuscitated by Dr. Fonzo. Upon revival, Mustafa reported a profound near-death experience. He described traveling through a tunnel toward a very bright light that was not blinding. During this journey, he experienced a detailed panoramic life review that was particularly rich regarding his beneficial and egotistical actions throughout his life. The life review showed him both the positive impacts of his kindness and generosity as well as the consequences of his more selfish behaviors. This experience occurred during a pilgrimage, which held deep religious significance for Mustafa as a devout Muslim.
