Multiple NDEs due to abnormally strong vagal nerve response causing cardiac arrest after surgeries. Three documented events: 1959 (age 3), 1989 (age 33), and 1998. Most recent: suffocating after thyroid surgery, husband informed she was dying. Out-of-body experience looking down at doctors working while drifting into field of flowers. Deep peace, concern for young children prompted desire to return. After emergency surgery opened airway. Age 33 experience: clinical death - instantly transported from one world to another, like dreaming. Encountered unrecognized being, experienced love and ecstasy of unprecedented intensity. Being gave feeling of total love. Experiences characterized by incredible peace, joy, understanding of universe, and ecstatic emotional states. Under later hypnosis, reconnected with same being from second NDE, experiencing same wonder, love and ecstasy.
