On Christmas Eve 1985, Ms. C, age 20, developed severe abdominal pain and went to the emergency room. While lying in pain, she recognized she was dying and told her mother so. An ultrasound revealed blood in her abdomen from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, requiring immediate surgery. Even before anesthesia was administered, Ms. C was out of her body, hovering below the ceiling of the operating room.
During this third near-death experience, she was met by a guide with a distinctly female presence, described as being "like an angel." This guide initiated a profound conversation by referencing her previous NDE at age 8, reminding her of what she had said while dying then: "I want to grow up, get married, be a nurse, and be a mommy." The guide asked if she wanted anything else now. Ms. C replied that she wanted to stay a nurse and raise her 11-month-old son. The guide then delivered an important spiritual message, stating: "We want you to teach people when they come into your path that they need to be very aware of what they pray for, and they need to keep the big picture in mind." This message emphasized the power and responsibility involved in prayer and spiritual requests, suggesting that people's prayers are heard and answered but may have unforeseen consequences if not carefully considered within a larger spiritual context. Following this exchange, Ms. C returned to her body and recovered from surgery. This third NDE further enhanced her spiritual communication abilities, which now occur constantly rather than periodically. She continues to receive inner guidance through various means including inner voice, automatic writing, and what she calls "charades" - contextually unusual emotions that convey specific messages. The cumulative effect of three NDEs has given her exceptional spiritual sensitivity and a specific teaching mission about the nature of prayer and spiritual intention.
