Aisha Mohsin experienced a severe allergic reaction to an antimalarial injection 30 years ago and was taken to the hospital unconscious. During her NDE, she found herself levitating above her inert body in the treatment room, able to see and hear all the doctors and staff talking to each other. She felt very peaceful throughout the experience. She clearly heard the doctors asking her to move her finger but was unable to comply. Observing the worried expressions on their faces and realizing she could be dying, she began reciting the kalima, the Islamic testimony of faith. Throughout the entire experience, she felt happy and positive, losing all sense of time. The out-of-body observations of medical staff conversations and their worried expressions provided veridical elements, though specific details that could be independently verified were not documented.
