Masuma underwent major surgery with splenectomy in London, developing massive post-operative infection and hemorrhage, remaining unconscious for 10 days. During this extended unconscious period, she experienced an intense sparkling white light ahead of her, appearing kaleidoscopic in nature. She experienced herself flying through space on a long journey where she encountered various people, including men dressed in white robes who initially restrained her, imploring her to help certain people on Earth, but then released her saying they would handle the matter themselves. During her experience, she had a vision of a friend's unmarried daughter's wedding, seeing clearly the face of the future bridegroom in what she believed was a precognitive experience. She also observed a particular relative visiting her while she was in her coma, which was later confirmed to have actually occurred. Upon regaining consciousness, it took considerable time for her to realize her visions were not material reality. She felt her real life was in the journey to the light where she had been very happy without worries.
