The experiencer was in their late twenties, hospitalized in the neuro-intensive care unit for brain bleeding. They told the nurse something was seriously wrong, reporting it was the worst they had ever felt, but the nurse dismissed it as anxiety and left. This dismissal preceded the onset of their near-death experience.
Three men in white robes suddenly appeared at the bedside, appearing to be surrounded by one-inch flames that were brighter than a thousand suns yet didn't hurt the eyes or light the room corners. Despite initial fear about the fire, the experiencer realized these beings felt no distress. The being on the left raised both hands, causing the experiencer to leave their body. They floated face-first through the ceiling and hospital roof, then turned to observe the building from above. This aerial view was later confirmed accurate through satellite imagery. The group ascended into clouds and began flying horizontally at tremendous speed without experiencing friction, gravity, or cold. Mind-to-mind communication occurred throughout, with the lead angel explaining physical laws didn't apply there. The angel revealed he spoke all languages and shared profound knowledge including the meaning of life being "for the entertainment of the spirit realm." Flying through clouds felt like being "kissed by a marshmallow" during exhilarating acrobatic maneuvers. The experience included highly specific veridical observations that were independently verified. The aerial view of the hospital roof and grounds showed details later confirmed through satellite imagery, providing objective evidence the experience wasn't hallucination or dream. The experiencer observed grass appearing extraordinarily vibrant, glowing and pulsating in ways beyond normal perception. They were shown a life review including being held by Jesus as a baby, childhood conversations with God, and adult dishonesty that pleased demons. Visions of their mother and best friend mourning their potential death convinced them to return. Upon return to the body, the experiencer discovered they had been in a prolonged medical crisis that the nurse had dismissed. The profound experience left them with permanent longing for the perfect love they experienced and a certainty about the continuation of consciousness after death.
