A young boy went to the Brazos River with his father and four friends while his father fished. After playing for an hour, they began wading upstream when he stepped into a hole and went under without getting a breath. He struggled repeatedly to surface, spitting water but unable to breathe before going under again. After exhausting struggle, he gave up and everything went into slow motion. He rose out of his body, looking down at it struggling, feeling no concern about being in two places. Rising 10 feet above water, he saw a basketball-sized sphere of intensely bright light with swirling light inside. A black speck in its center moved toward him and Jesus appeared with golden complexion, radiating visible light in all directions. Though initially feeling unworthy, Jesus extended his hand and the guilt vanished. Jesus spoke telepathically saying "Fear not. Be at peace." A giant screen appeared showing random scenes from his life. Jesus questioned him about lies, bullying, and wrongdoing, correcting any attempts to minimize his actions, while praising good deeds with humor and laughter. They traveled at tremendous speed through a churning tunnel toward distant light before he suddenly returned when a friend touched his foot underwater. The friend rescued him, and he vomited water repeatedly in agonizing pain. Due to trauma, he forgot the Jesus encounter for thirty years until reading about NDEs jogged his memory.
