A 20-year-old college student was hospitalized for pelvic pain, diagnosed with ovarian blood clots after laparoscopy, and treated with Heparin. On the third or fourth evening, she experienced sharp pain after a bowel movement and became confused with a swollen abdomen. The next morning, the doctor dismissed it as gas. When her mother arrived unexpectedly early (her boyfriend had asked about ring size), they walked to the shower room where the patient collapsed. From above the ceiling, she observed the scene below: her mother against the wall with arms wrapped around herself, people everywhere, a crash cart, and herself lying in the hallway with her nightgown cut off. Everything was quiet from her perspective. She then saw a man leaning over her with a huge syringe containing yellow liquid, telling her she would be okay and to stay. She underwent emergency surgery, receiving five units of blood. The experience occurred on a Saturday morning around 10am. Her mother was supposed to attend a children's carnival but came early because the boyfriend asked about ring size. An old missionary friend visited the day of or after surgery. The patient views these timing coincidences as divine gifts along with her life.
