An endurance athlete who had raced bicycles for 25 years experienced chest pain for about a month, which he thought was a pulled muscle. Despite running 4 times weekly, he had shortness of breath. On June 12th, severe pain led his wife to take him to the hospital. He was rushed down a hall on a gurney in excruciating pain, with a doctor telling him not to move or he would not survive. Prior to hearing the doctor, he found himself in a gold-colored room or space. He sensed presences all around though didn't see them. A dark brown mahogany casket was in front of him, small like for a 10-year-old, open with gold silk lining. Looking inside, he saw leaves, twigs, and water as if left outside. Then he saw the doctor above telling him not to move. His heart attack involved 100% occlusion of the left anterior descending artery. He was in cardiogenic shock requiring a balloon pump for 36 hours. Afterward, he recalls being roused and told not to move. He considers the vision more real than a dream and relives it daily. Since then, he sometimes "sees" people his clients bring into sessions and knew instantly when a friend in ICU had crossed over. He knows he was going somewhere and came from somewhere.
