On June 22, 1994, a widow experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm at home, falling in the exact spot where her husband had died of a heart attack five years earlier. After emergency transport to a local hospital, she was airlifted to a specialist surgeon with her daughter accompanying her. Following nine hours of surgery, she survived but experienced severe vasospasms that kept her in a deep coma for four days. During this time, she took "a beautiful trip to the other side of life." Her journey began standing behind a closed door, supported by a Being of Light who told her it would open when ready. Upon entering, she passed through a tunnel with overwhelming light and had a brief life review. The Being escorted her to an indescribably beautiful garden with everlasting inner glow that no artist could capture. She reached a meadow she couldn't cross alone, told to wait for her deceased husband to come from behind a large tree to take her "the rest of the way." She remained there for what felt like four days. When her eyes opened from the coma, she knew she was "back to stay." Despite being told she'd need extensive speech therapy, she recovered remarkably - walking out of the hospital two weeks later with 100% recovery predicted. The experience gave her lasting peace and she carries daily the church bulletin quote from her youth: "Enter through me, He saith, for I am the door."
