At age 26, during a dental extraction procedure under gas anesthesia, the patient experienced complications that led to a profound near-death experience. After losing consciousness, they found themselves looking down at their body through the ceiling, viewing it as meaningless as "an old coat that I had discarded." They experienced wonderful weightlessness and freedom with awareness of having a non-physical form. Turning away from the scene below, they entered a "velvety, dark stillness" where they felt blocked from proceeding further. A powerful yet protective presence communicated telepathically, saying "It's not your time. You must go back." The experiencer began asking profound questions about life, death, heaven, and the universe, receiving immediate answers in volumes of information conveyed through just 2-6 words, understood at a level beyond normal comprehension. Each reply ended with "You must go back" and finally "You must fight to go back." After a brief vision of a shimmering grid of pulsating light, they returned to find themselves surrounded by oxygen cylinders, a distressed dentist, and panicking medical staff. They were kept in recovery for several hours. The dental practice later refused to see them again and removed them from their register, suggesting serious complications had occurred. The experience left them with lasting peace, gratitude for life, and complete reverence for creation, though also with persistent homesickness for the other realm that continues 45 years later.
