A woman with stage 3 breast cancer, diagnosed at 20 weeks pregnant, underwent chemotherapy while pregnant, followed by mastectomy, additional chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Four weeks after completing cancer treatment, on May 1, 2013, she suddenly dropped dead in the middle of a residential street. Her sister immediately began performing CPR, followed by a motor cop who was first on scene. Medical personnel had to use the defibrillator paddles over four times to bring her back to life. This cardiac arrest occurred just three days before the one-year anniversary of her cancer diagnosis.
She returned from death with profound knowledge and certainty about the nature of existence. She knows without question that she and her children are connected forever, understanding with absolute certainty that earthly life is temporary but spirits are eternal. The experience dramatically heightened her empathic abilities to such an extent that she cannot tolerate being near people with anxiety or negativity, as their emotional states wash over her soul. This heightened sensitivity has proven particularly challenging during stressful times. While she doesn't describe the actual experience during cardiac arrest, the knowledge she gained appears to have come during that time when she required multiple defibrillation attempts to return. The certainty of eternal spiritual connection and the overwhelming increase in empathic sensitivity are her primary lasting effects from this near-death experience during cardiac arrest.
