Nigel suffered a catastrophic kite surfing accident that threw him approximately 70 meters horizontally and 6 meters vertically into the edge of his house roof. He sustained 21 fractures to his hips, ribs, and shoulders, severe concussion, punctured lung, severe internal and external bruising, and shock. He remained unconscious for 14 hours with only brief moments of semi-consciousness lasting seconds.
During his unconscious state, he found himself at the edge of a swirling mass of dark, depressed beings moving like a nauseating current. The mass was rotating rapidly, with beings that looked like walking skeletons being pushed toward the outer edge where they fell into nothingness or death. He struggled against this current, feeling he did not want to go to that edge. In the far distance at the center of this mass, he saw a bright light. Through trial and error or external guidance, he discovered that only by thinking pure thoughts of helping others could he move toward the central light. Any self-centered thought immediately threw him back toward the outer edge of the revolving mass. He had to maintain complete focus on compassion and helping others. He passed several people he recognized and could see their true nature through colors radiating from their bodies. Any judgment of them immediately sent him back to the outer edge. By chanting "Just helping people" as a mantra, he eventually reached the inner circle where calm, pure beings sat around a large glowing white light. In this sacred space, he had to keep his thoughts totally pure. He was told the only way to melt into the light was to empty his mind while maintaining focus on helping others. Upon doing so, he experienced indescribable bliss, feeling part of everything while simultaneously empty - absolutely purifying, healing, and timeless. His next conscious memory was being back in his body experiencing immense pain, eventually awakening in the ICU at Nelson Hospital. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience contains judgment-like elements with consequences for thoughts and actions, separation into groups based on spiritual state, and the presence of a divine light. The concept of seeing people's true nature through colors suggests New Age aura reading rather than biblical discernment.
