In September 2009, a German man caught fire after returning from a jog when his sports pants ignited near the fireplace. The fire spread to his jacket and eventually his face and hair. When he couldn't breathe due to flames, he consciously accepted death with no fear or pain, making a decision to "let go." His consciousness separated from his body and he observed from outside as his 14-year-old son arrived, pulled the burning body down, and extinguished flames with a carpet. He watched neutrally as paramedics arrived, the rescue helicopter landed, and his body was transported to the hospital emergency room and intensive care unit.
While his body lay in a coma with ventilator support, he encountered a large male luminous being who filled the room with loving presence. This teacher explained he wasn't dead and led him on an extensive journey between dimensions. He was shown what consciousness is, how it's composed, soul integration, releasing blockages, and soul mate connections. He experienced unconditional love that exists in everything, learned that past and future don't exist as everything happens simultaneously, and understood humans can shift perspective to create different futures. After extensive teaching about the body as a vessel for consciousness, he was given the choice to return or depart. He consciously chose to return, accepting his body despite its imperfect state, and merged back into it with gratitude. Since then he maintains both human and soul perspective simultaneously, living without fear.
