Nancy was at the dentist having a root canal when the dentist, who had a cocaine problem and was high, gave her too much nitrous oxide, cutting off her air supply. She struggled initially but then left her body, floating above the dental chair and passing through the second-story wall. She hovered over the Pacific Coast Highway watching cars below, feeling extremely peaceful. She then shot through space at what seemed like light speed, passing stars, until she suddenly stopped at the fringes of a beautiful golden light with sparkles that filled her with unconditional pure love and intense peace.
She encountered her deceased friend Scott who had committed suicide. They communicated telepathically, and she could physically feel his hug. Scott appeared completely at peace and happy. The golden light communicated that she was completely loved and that "EVERYTHING IS COMPLETELY ALRIGHT," washing away every fear she ever had, including concerns about having had an abortion. The light conveyed complete understanding of the human condition. Scott told her she had gone too far and needed to return immediately. She was also told there was much more she had to do before coming back permanently, delivered with a fatherly chuckle as if she had been rambunctious in arriving too soon. She heard the dentist frantically calling her to come back and hitting her body. Feeling sorry for the panicked dentist, she immediately shot back into her body. Re-entering was extremely difficult - she was initially just a small ball behind her chest wall and had to struggle tremendously to take her first breath, the hardest thing she had ever done. Upon gasping, her spirit suddenly filled her entire body. She chose not to tell the dentist about the profound spiritual experience to protect it from being dismissed.
