A woman's heart stopped in the OR after giving birth to her youngest son in 2004, with complications due to Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) heart disease. She woke up in what she calls "home" - heaven - without a body but still herself, surrounded by angels and loved ones who also had no bodies but whose presence she knew. They communicated through thought, with questions answered before she could finish thinking them. She was bathed in beautiful white golden light feeling immense happiness, contentment, warmth and unconditional love beyond words. She received three repeated messages: she was unconditionally loved, everything is always how it's supposed to be, and everything would always be alright. She knew if she didn't return, her children, husband and family would be okay, but wasn't given the option to stay. She woke to the doctor yelling at her to open her eyes, angry to be back in her body and physical world. She experienced depression for weeks, wanting to go "home" despite having three babies to care for, which caused guilt and shame. Her life changed drastically afterward with divorce and career change. She no longer fears death, knows souls live on, and believes we are all connected as one. The experience was a gift whose messages continue to guide her.
