During minor surgery, while waiting for intravenous medication to take effect, the doctor suddenly yelled at the nurses "You can't give a person with asthma this medication!" The subject remembers seeing the IV in her arm, then significant commotion and panic among the medical staff. She found herself above the operating table looking down at her body. The doctors and nurses were in a state of panic due to the medication error with her asthma condition. She was with someone who made her feel peaceful and safe during this out-of-body experience. This being took her to the recovery room and told her "You have to go back into your body." She asked "How do I know which body is mine?" as there were 15 or more girls her age with the same gown, white sheet and gurney in the recovery room. The being assured her it would be okay and to just go back. The next thing she remembered was a nurse calling her name, telling her it was time to wake up. She verified it was her body by checking her left hand for the missing tip of her middle finger from a childhood injury at age 8. Initially thinking it was a dream, after hearing other NDE stories, she now believes it was real. She expresses gratitude that God has been with her throughout her life of sickness and surgical complications.
