At age 39, while sick in bed with bronchitis, the experiencer left their body through the crown chakra, noting this was not their first out-of-body experience. They arrived at a place filled with bright, beautiful light where they felt love and joy of a higher nature than anything earthly. Communication was telepathic but perfectly clear. They were informed that their original "contract" was complete but could choose to stay longer on Earth for additional spiritual growth. The concept of a pre-birth spiritual contract was presented, suggesting souls agree to various tasks before incarnation as part of their spiritual calling. After agreeing to remain for continued growth, they returned to their body. The experiencer had been a spiritual seeker for over a decade, previously believing in reincarnation and having already experienced significant spiritual development. During the experience, they did not ask questions they later wished they had, such as how long they must live. Since returning, they have often wished they had stayed rather than coming back, longing to return to that state of grace and peace.
