A 16-year-old Irish boy underwent wisdom teeth extraction for impacted teeth requiring immediate removal. During the procedure, he was given Sodium Pentothal (Thiopental Sodium) for anesthesia, but the nurse apparently administered too much of the drug. Upon awakening, he found the oral surgeon straddling his reclined chair, frantically pounding his chest and screaming "BREATHE!!! BREATHE!!! BREATHE!!!" The look of absolute fear on the surgeon's face was unforgettable. After revival, the nurse and surgeon whispered back and forth, with the surgeon saying "Okay, let's do this and get this kid out of here." During the remainder of the surgery, he lay awake but physically paralyzed from the drug, with tears streaming from his eyes as he processed what had occurred during his death. He experienced leaving his body and traveling to a place of complete blackness with no gravity where he had no bodily form. Despite the darkness, he sensed being surrounded by and part of exquisite pure energy of everything - all universes, galaxies, planets, and life. He felt simultaneously ONE with everything while maintaining his individual identity as a thought. The experience was infinite, pure, and characterized by absolute bliss and love - what he describes as "Orgasmic Consciousness." He knew his separateness AND oneness with everything in the greatest sensation of love. He now has no fear of death, believing what lies beyond is more beautiful than earthly existence. The experience taught him that we take our SELF with us when we die, and that death is like a great spiritual orgasm. He compares the experience to being one ingredient in a divine cosmic soup, suggesting we're all waiting to add our flavor to the Creator's recipe.
