During surgery in 1983, Mo C experienced clinical death and operating room complications. While under anesthesia, he remained aware but did not have an out-of-body experience. Instead, he found himself in complete darkness where he could still see clearly. Several demonic beings approached him - short, upright creatures in black hooded robes with round faces, pointed teeth, and claws. They shuffled toward him carrying butcher knives, snarling and fighting over who would get him. They decided to dismember him so each could have a piece. As he tried to fight them off, they suddenly stopped without any command, turned around, and shuffled away into what appeared to be a dark cave entrance. The next thing he knew, a nurse was waking him up.
Mo describes feeling extreme fear during the experience and notes that everything was more vivid and real than normal consciousness. Time seemed to happen all at once, and his thoughts were incredibly fast. Despite the darkness, he could see clearly.
