Two years after her first NDE, the subject accidentally committed suicide by taking an overdose following a broken love affair. This time, an angel gently removed her from her body, creating a much more pleasant experience than her first NDE. She ascended to a hugely bright light that, just as she collided with it, transformed into Jesus - not the "soppy meek and mild" Jesus of her upbringing, but a being of immense power.
Upon encountering this powerful Jesus figure, she shattered into thousands of pieces of colored glass, with each fragment being totally and completely loved in a way she cannot adequately describe. The overwhelming love for each broken piece of her being created an experience of complete acceptance and divine love. She knew upon return that she had a purpose to fulfill, though she couldn't remember the specific details of what that purpose was. The experience left her with strange psychic abilities lasting about six months, during which she was almost permanently clairvoyant and could see spirit guides. The barrier between worlds seemed to remain open rather than closing properly after her return. This created difficulty in daily life, and though she told no one, university tutors recognized something was wrong. She wrote gibberish on exam papers and should have failed her degree, but was given a degree anyway, which she attributes to spirit help. The degree allowed her to work as a part-time supply teacher while pursuing her real interests: visiting gurus in India and making sense of the world. She trained as a hypnotist and worked with anorexics, understanding their psychology from inside. She hopes she has saved lives through this work, perhaps fulfilling the purpose for which she was given her life back twice.
