A 17-year-old suffering from daily headaches and severe migraines took a combination of anti-depressants, anti-anxiety pills, and vodka. Though not explicitly suicidal, she was open to death due to exhaustion from chronic pain. Her best friend witnessed her stop breathing, prompting her mother to call an ambulance. She was taken to the hospital for stomach pumping. She felt abnormal heart rhythms and bizarre beating patterns, sensing her body communicating that death was imminent. She felt relief and willingness to let go of all attachments.
After feeling herself float and seeing her body with her friend crying, she was propelled into a churning blackness like being inside a slow-moving black tornado. She asked herself "What am I?" and answered "Oh, I am me!" Initially feeling neutral peace, she then sensed a mean, angry presence approaching that wanted to devour her, making her extremely frightened. She called for Jesus Christ, and instantly a tiny light grew exponentially, pulling her from the darkness. The light surrounded her with spiritual brightness and incredible parental love from a presence that knew her completely. She felt like a child at its feet, experiencing all feelings from her life and others as energy moving through her, gaining complete understanding of her strengths and weaknesses. The primary observation was the light presence she identified as possibly Jesus, who communicated telepathically about her not being ready and needing to return. She begged to stay but was told she must go back to complete her unfinished task. She was sent through blackness at incredible speed back into her body with a loud metallic sound. Her mother and friend were crying when she opened her eyes. The experience was witnessed by her best friend who saw her stop breathing and her mother who called emergency services. Following the NDE, her headaches and migraines largely disappeared. She developed heightened empathic abilities, feeling like an "emotional antenna" sensing others' emotions intensely. She occasionally senses spiritual presences, once seeing a good presence outline after crying. She believes both good and evil spirits surround us invisibly, with anger inviting evil and goodness attracting both good and opposition.
