As a new mother, she was concerned about her ability to care for her infant daughter if something was medically wrong. The nurses started an IV and began infusing contrast dye for the imaging procedure.
Immediately after the dye infusion began, she experienced a strange sensation and told the nurses she felt "funny." Without warning, everything went completely pitch black and she found herself floating in absolute darkness. The sensation was remarkably worry-free, with all her anxieties instantly vanishing. She experienced incredible happiness in this void state. Most notably, she was able to see her daughter being taken care of and knew with certainty that her child would be fine without her. This knowledge brought her profound peace about her primary concern. The experience provided a vision or knowing about her daughter's future care, though she provides no details about who would care for the child or how she received this information. The profound worry-free state and the specific knowledge about her daughter's wellbeing were the most significant aspects of the experience.
