A man teaching roof construction on a day approaching 100°F experienced severe heat stroke after working for two hours. He developed a severe headache, weakness, and stopped sweating - recognizing his body was overheating. After attempting to cool off at a brewery, he experienced intense leg cramps and told his brother he needed emergency care, feeling he would die possibly before reaching the hospital. He called his children to say goodbye and recorded his last will on his cellphone during the drive.
At the hospital, he was placed on a bed knowing this was the end. His hearing and eyesight became extremely acute. He felt his life slipping away multiple times over three hours, repeatedly telling family he loved them as he envisioned his room and body shrinking while his spirit rose. He saw many deceased friends and relatives looking at him and telling him it was okay. His family's pleas not to leave brought him back repeatedly - at least six times with each experience deeper than the last. During one episode with eyes open, he saw clouds clearing and a tree-lined forest road with deceased relatives and friends pointing the way. He watched his soul rising from his body while his family begged him to stay. He felt his body convulse, said "It's time for me to go. I love you all," and closed his eyes in complete comfort experiencing the most peaceful feeling of his life, unafraid and looking forward to eternal peace. His family's shaking and squeezing while begging him to stay brought him back. After three bags of IV fluids and CT scans ruling out stroke or aneurysm, he regained body function. He could feel life literally flowing back into his body with the fluids. He remained completely coherent throughout, correctly answering all orientation questions. The experience left him knowing there are dimensions beyond this one and that he has a purpose to fulfill.
