A 14-year-old girl experienced an NDE when she became acutely ill with a rare autoimmune disease that caused lung and kidney failure. She was placed in a medically induced coma and later learned she had been given last rites with doctors preparing to turn off life support. Although no one told her she was dying due to her young age, she had an inner knowing that death was approaching and felt upset that those around her were crying.
She woke up in heaven walking through a tunnel with many other people from all walks of life - businessmen with briefcases, mothers with pushchairs, children, elderly people, and even people with their dogs on leads. She found herself in a beautiful garden following a path with perfectly manicured green hedges and grass, under a blue sky with perfect temperature. To her left was an open field where children and adults were climbing over a country fence, but she knew she wasn't meant to go that far. She was sent back through the tunnel, walking in the opposite direction while most others continued toward heaven. After awakening from the coma and being transferred to a ward where she could breathe independently, she experienced a profound spiritual event at exactly 1am. She felt a huge surge of energy flow through her and her body being lifted by a whirlwind, with her soul crashing through the hospital roof. She received a clear message that she was meant to live and had something special to do in life. Now 37 years old with three daughters, she remains grateful for her life and constantly thankful for her blessings. The experience fundamentally changed her perspective on life and death, giving her certainty about her purpose and the continuation of consciousness beyond physical death.
