The experiencer had a seizure that caused them to code with no pulse or heartbeat. Nurses called rapid response code and they were taken back to the ICU with machines connected. As they arrived in the ICU room, they began drifting from the world. Their soul left their body and traveled through the hospital building toward the skies. They experienced timelessness during death, not remembering how long before seeing and being absorbed by a bright light.
After being absorbed by the light, they found themselves seeing God's face and wondering how they got there. God looked at them with a calm expression and spoke in a peaceful low voice, explaining they were suffering too much and deserved a break from the chaos. God directed them to look down at what was happening below. They observed monitors beeping, their mother sobbing, and their grandmothers praying with frightened expressions. This sight made their heart sink with guilt and sadness. God then took their hand and said "let's take a walk, meet some people." They met their grandfather who had died in 2000 when they were only one year old, recognizing him from photos of his younger days. He held and rocked them in his arms. They also met his brother whom they had never met while alive, along with Vietnam War veterans who shared interesting stories. Finally, they met a precious little girl with beautiful blue eyes and light blonde hair. God then declared it was time to return, promising they would be back soon and would watch over them. When the experiencer protested, not wanting to leave, God looked straight through them and said "I am answering your grandmothers' prayers." They began falling lower and lower with uneasiness about returning to the living realm, crossing through a river recognized as the Otherworld (the dead realm) before returning to their body in the ICU. Once their soul re-entered their body, their heart beat again, they regained color and shallow breathing, bringing relief to everyone present.
