During childbirth, the experiencer suffered from eclampsia resulting in seizures and two cardiac arrests. While unconscious during the first seizure when her heart stopped twice, she found herself observing the scene from the ceiling. She watched the chaos below - her lifeless body on the bed with doctors and nurses frantically working, attaching her to a cardiac defibrillator attempting to restart her heart. She felt completely calm and unafraid despite witnessing her own death. She could see everything but could not hear the sounds of the emergency.
Then she heard a voice coming from her left shoulder accompanied by a beautiful white light. The voice told her to "go back" to her body. Without questioning, she trusted this presence and the light, feeling as if she already knew who it was. She immediately returned to her lifeless body below. She awakened three weeks later after being in a coma, with no memory of the intervening time. The experience left her feeling that something was missing and searching for meaning. She felt a massive connection to the earth, nature, and Indigenous peoples. Years later in 2011, she had a spontaneous Kundalini awakening during lucid dreaming where she saw a white snake enter her spine, travel upward in vibrant colors, and burst through her head as a beautiful white lotus flower with pure white light flooding upward. She described this as the most amazing feeling of pure unconditional love she had ever experienced, beyond words.
