A five-year-old child underwent tonsillectomy surgery but had an unknown very low enzyme level of Cholinesterase, making the anesthesia act like a massive overdose that the body couldn't break down or absorb. This caused cardiac and respiratory arrest lasting 3.5 minutes initially, with at least one additional arrest. It took seven hours before the child was declared stable in recovery. Years later at age 16, the family doctor confirmed that Dr. White had saved the child's life and that the observed details were accurate.
During the cardiac arrest, the child floated near the operating room ceiling, watching a man pushing on their chest with more people present than when surgery began, including equipment behind their head. They moved down to observe Dr. White closely, noting his white sideburns and feeling his distress. From the ceiling perspective, they experienced overwhelming unconditional love and complete oneness with everything in creation - people, plants, animals, stars, rocks, space - all connected through love. They saw an incredibly bright white light to the left that they initially thought was a window. Moving toward the light, they felt snapped back like a rubber band into their body. Later recalled memories revealed walking over a bow-shaped bridge to a bench in a beautiful, peaceful place where they met a man in a robe they knew to be Jesus. They talked for what seemed a long time while feeling deeply loved. Jesus told them they had to go back because their mother needed them, after which they were sent back to their body. Upon waking in recovery after seven hours, a nurse called them "Sleeping Beauty." When their mother and family doctor visited, the child's first words were "I died, didn't I?" causing their mother to go white. The doctor told the mother, "Sometimes they know. I don't know how, but sometimes they know." The experience was initially suppressed due to sensing others didn't want to hear about it, but the core knowledge of unconditional love and connection remained.
