As a small child, the experiencer ingested many pills left accessible by parents and went into a coma lasting 2-3 days. During this time, they experienced a calm and pleasant lightness, floating 2-3 feet above their body. They observed their body being placed in an ambulance and taken to the hospital, seeing vivid color images of the ambulance, driver, and accompanying people.
The final observation was particularly poignant - they saw themselves leaning next to their aunt who watched the ambulance depart. As the aunt turned back toward the house crying, the experiencer was somehow present beside her, witnessing her emotional distress. After 2-3 days in coma, they woke up in the hospital ready to play, showing the resilience typical of young children. These images remained unforgettable throughout their life, though few people believed what they saw and felt, eventually leading them to stop sharing the experience. Since the NDE, they have felt the deaths of people closest to them, which they acknowledge might be coincidence but is sometimes painful.
