A technology director was running data cables through a ceiling when he contacted an exposed electrical wire and was electrocuted. He was found unconscious on the floor with ceiling debris around him and the fiberglass ladder twisted in the corner. He suffered a double skull fracture from the fall. During his unconsciousness, he found himself on a small boat or raft on smooth, dark water at night.
The craft had knee-high material around it and was piloted by someone unseen. He approached a shore with a hill or cliff and beach, where a figure holding a lamp stood on the hill. The figure reminded him of the Led Zeppelin 4 album cover - a robed, bearded man with a lamp. A female voice said "we don't need him right now, send him back." He then woke up with the custodian informing him of his accident. Despite his injuries, he refused immediate hospital treatment and drove home. The next morning, while waiting at a clinic after vomiting from concussion, he had multiple out-of-body experiences. He saw his wife reading a magazine, listened to conversations, and saw his own body on a gurney with a sheet up to his neck. This continued in the ICU and hospital room. He recovered fully with minimal impairment and transformed his life positively - spending quality time with family, helping terminally ill people, embracing new opportunities that led to a 4x pay increase, and witnessing his daughters' many achievements. He remains uncertain whether the darkness meant he was heading to Heaven but is grateful he "wasn't needed" yet.
