In 2016, a 20-year-old man was victim of attempted murder/assisted suicide by a friend who watched him pass away. He began seizing and asphyxiating on vomit before she called 911 claiming suicide attempt. Resuscitated by paramedics, he received medication through PIC line to heart in ER, was placed in comatose state on ventilator with prognosis of death. He sustained septic shock with kidney failure. During the week-long coma, he experienced a dark room vision with an upset but well-intentioned spirit saying "What have you done? You have to go back." Then blackness, not sleep but nothingness. Upon waking after a week still in ICU, he felt spiritually in year 2048 with nurses as computer programmers operating smart technology through "wall of life" network delivering nutrients and medicine, though not physically connected. He watched angels above guiding souls to heaven toward bright light, seeing the pathway to heaven. Against 40% survival odds even with treatment for stage 3 sepsis (which he didn't receive for 2 weeks), he miraculously survived. His kidneys restored function though organs don't normally reverse failure. Recovery involved 30 pounds lost, hair falling out, loose teeth, near-blindness, inability to digest solids, 18-hour sleep periods. Multiple doctors expressed amazement at his survival. He feels he received overdose of self and universal awareness, has uneasy feelings about world's future, but gained endless compassion and desire to help others.
