On December 18, 2023, the experiencer underwent an extensive brain surgery at Stanford University Medical Center involving over ten hours under general anesthesia. The procedures included an NIR Cerebral Angiography Embolization followed by a Right Craniotomy for the Resection of a Tumor. The surgery successfully removed a meningioma brain tumor.
During the extended period under anesthesia, the patient experienced passing beyond the veil into a realm of unconditional love, peace, and understanding. He encountered what he described as "the one without name" - a presence of pure loving and forgiving energy that he felt was his true home where he belonged as part of everything. The experience included both this divine energy and a more human, Christlike presence who assured him he was doing well in his earthly life and emphasized the importance of treating others as one wishes to be treated. He received profound insights including that even Satan would be forgiven if capable of accepting it, and that life's complexity is actually simple. He was given the choice to stay in the light or return to his body and chose to return, knowing he would come back when it was his time. He also received a significant impression of the number 22, which he interprets as possibly representing his remaining years on Earth. Upon awakening in the ICU, he felt reborn but retained all his memories and faculties.
