As a young child, the experiencer found themselves in a beautiful garden with huge flowers and big colorful butterflies. Someone dressed in all white had escorted them to this place where other children were present. They ran and played with the other children, and nobody seemed different because the love was so strong and overwhelming. What captured their attention was someone calling their name - it was their mother's voice, becoming stronger and more familiar. Having been taught to always obey their parents, that's exactly what they did. The person in white who had been watching them walked across a bridge and said goodbye. Too young to understand what had happened at the time, they didn't think much about it until years later. Their mother, who was a nurse, later explained that she had come to check on them that morning and noticed they didn't respond. The child's pupils had dilated, indicating serious trouble. She rushed them to the emergency room, though doctors couldn't find anything wrong. The experiencer believes it must have been ordained by God. Years later, this knowledge proved invaluable when their mother was in a coma dying from a major heart attack. Despite being declared brain dead and in a coma for five weeks with doctors advising to let her go, the experiencer insisted the family keep calling her name, knowing from their own experience that she could hear them. One day when the father called her name, she answered, amazing everyone as tests still showed brain death. The experiencer hopes sharing this story will help others understand that comatose patients can still hear loved ones.
