Three nights after an operation, the experiencer had a heart attack with two nurses present in the hospital room. Suddenly, their father who had passed away 30 years previously appeared standing at the left side of the bed near their feet. The experiencer greeted him casually, saying "Oh, hi dad," as if it were perfectly normal. The father spoke in an impatient voice, the same tone he used when waking them for swim training as a child, saying "Well come on, are you coming or not, you have to make up your mind." The experiencer replied "I'd better not," and instantly the father disappeared without another word. Everything around the father had been in total darkness - complete blackness with no white light visible anywhere. Upon returning, the experiencer found themselves surrounded by twelve nurses and doctors, with one doctor yelling their name into their left ear. The father was wearing specific clothing that, when described to the mother the next day, she confirmed was exactly what he had been dressed in for his funeral - something the experiencer hadn't known. Since the experience, the person has had many accurate "feelings" about situations in their life and friends' lives. They are now fitter than they've been in years and enjoying life fully. The experience remains vivid as if it happened moments ago, and most importantly, they now know for certain there's life after death, which gives them a great feeling.
