At age six, while her mother was removing a splinter, the subject became dizzy and experienced her first epileptic seizure, blacking out. She left her body and observed her mother in panic trying to help, then running to get her stepfather who had medical training. She watched them both attending to her seizing body on the floor. She was suddenly transported from the scene to a pitch-black void with no sense of body, feeling creatures growling and hissing around her though she wasn't afraid, just confused.
A bright speck of white light appeared in the distance, drawing her at light speed through the void. The light grew bigger and brighter, emanating love so intense that no earthly words could describe it. At the edge of the light, she was filled with this intense love, feeling wonderful, peaceful, and completely loved. Her great-grandmother's face appeared as dots of energy, communicating telepathically that it wasn't her time and she must return. She fell backward toward her body yelling "NO!" and popped back in while her mother held her crying. Initially unsure if it was real or a dream, she said nothing. Afterward, she was transformed - overfilled with love and compassion toward every living thing, able to feel others' emotions, receiving spirit voices with messages for loved ones, and gifted with universal knowledge and understanding. The first five years were overwhelming with no control over these abilities. She was bombarded with others' feelings and messages at school, having to suppress these gifts. The abilities remain today though less intense. She maintains vast love and tries to pass it to others, understanding that love is life's most important element. The experience fundamentally changed her relationship with consciousness and compassion.
